Harga Diri Sebagai Penghubung Antara Karakteristik Individu Dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Terhadap Caring Mahasiswa Kesehatan: Sebuah Artikel Konseptual

Latar Belakang: Transformasi digital telah mengubah pendidikan kesehatan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran, simulasi virtual, kecerdasan buatan, dan berbagai platform digital. Meskipun teknologi meningkatkan akses informasi dan kompetensi profesional, terdapat kekhawatiran mengenai dampaknya terhadap kemampuan interpersonal dan perilaku caring mahasiswa kesehatan. Caring merupakan kompetensi inti yang menentukan kualitas hubungan terapeutik dan profesionalisme tenaga kesehatan. Namun, mekanisme psikologis yang menjelaskan hubungan antara karakteristik individu, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan caring masih belum banyak dikaji. Tujuan: Mengembangkan model konseptual yang menjelaskan peran harga diri sebagai variabel mediasi dalam hubungan antara karakteristik individu dan pemanfaatan teknologi terhadap caring mahasiswa kesehatan. Metode: Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan konseptual melalui telaah dan sintesis teori serta penelitian empiris terkini dari bidang pendidikan kesehatan, psikologi, teknologi pendidikan, dan keperawatan. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan Human Caring Theory, Social Cognitive Theory, Self-Determination Theory, dan teori self-esteem. Hasil: Model yang diusulkan menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu dan pemanfaatan teknologi berpengaruh terhadap harga diri mahasiswa kesehatan. Harga diri yang positif meningkatkan empati, kepercayaan diri, kemampuan komunikasi, dan perilaku prososial yang pada akhirnya memperkuat caring. Harga diri berperan sebagai mekanisme psikologis yang menjembatani pengaruh faktor personal dan lingkungan digital terhadap perilaku caring. Kesimpulan: Harga diri merupakan faktor psikologis penting yang menjelaskan hubungan antara karakteristik individu, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan caring mahasiswa kesehatan. Model ini dapat menjadi dasar penelitian empiris serta pengembangan intervensi pendidikan kesehatan yang menyeimbangkan kompetensi teknologi dan nilai-nilai humanistik.
